Referral Dentistry
An advanced practitioner in Equine Dentistry and a member of the BAEDT since 2016, Sam has over 10 years experience focusing on dental clinical work, teaching and examining. He ran a busy first-opinion and referral dental clinic for 4 years, where he formed strong relationships with local Equine Dental Technicians and equine practices. He continues to provide this service, working closely with many equine practices in the South West and South Wales.
He runs the BEVA motorised dentistry course and lectures in Equine Dentistry at the University of Bristol. Sam is currently an examiner for the BEVA/BAEDT Equine Dental Technician exam and the RCVS Certificate in Equine Dentistry.

- Advanced extraction techniques including minimally invasive transbuccal extraction, minimally invasive repulsion and intra-oral segmentation
- Infundibular and endodontic restorations
- Treatment of periodontal disease including bridging and interdental widening
- Investigation and treatment of sinus disease including sinusitis (dental and primary)
We can perform many of the treatments in a mobile setting as all our equipment is portable. Some surgeries are best carried out in a clinic setting and we can arrange for this to be done at one of our referral practices where we have access to standing surgical facilities.
